What Happens at Your First Eyebrow Embroidery Appointment

A walkthrough of your first brow embroidery session — what to bring, what we do, and how long the whole thing takes.

What Happens at Your First Eyebrow Embroidery Appointment
✦

Booking your first brow embroidery session can feel like a leap. You're trusting someone with your face for the next year or two. The good news: the appointment is far less mysterious than Instagram makes it look. Most of it is conversation, drawing, and waiting for numbing cream to kick in. The actual pigment work is the shortest part.

Come bare-faced if you can, or with minimal makeup around the brow area. Bring reference photos if you have a shape in mind — but don't worry if you don't. We'll start with face mapping: measuring the symmetry of your features, your brow bone, and the spacing of your eyes. This is where the shape is decided, and it has nothing to do with trends. Your face dictates what works.

Next comes the pencil draw. We sketch the proposed shape onto your skin with a removable brow pencil and hand you a mirror. This is your moment — speak up. Want it slightly thicker at the front? A softer arch? A more defined tail? We redraw until you're 100% happy. Nothing permanent happens until you've signed off on the shape. This step alone can take 20 to 30 minutes.

Once the design is approved, numbing cream goes on for about 15 minutes. You can scroll your phone, sip water, or just rest your eyes. After that, we begin the actual embroidery — strokes for microblading or fine pigment passes for nano brows. Most clients describe the sensation as light scratching. We check in with you constantly, and we'll pause anytime you want a break.

After the first pass, we apply a second layer of pigment, wipe everything clean, and hand you the mirror for the reveal. Expect the colour to look bold — 30 to 40% darker than the final healed result. This is normal and expected. We'll explain everything you're seeing and walk you through what the next 6 weeks will look like as the brows heal and settle.

You'll leave with an aftercare kit, a printed guide, and a follow-up appointment scheduled for 6 to 8 weeks later — that's the touch-up where we perfect anything that healed unevenly. Block out 2.5 to 3 hours for the first session in total. Plan a quiet day after — no gym, no swim, no heavy sweating. If you have any questions before booking, WhatsApp us at +65 8930 8973.
